2016 Award Recipient

Rock Island track athlete Mariah Hoover earned the Don Wright Memorial Scholarship during the girls track team banquet on Thursday June 2nd. The scholarship was named and created in honor of Don Wright, a 1968 Rock Island graduate who served in the Vietnam War before succumbing to cancer from Agent Orange exposure. The $5,000 scholarship is given to a senior track athlete.
